.Just You.
Name: Katie
Age: 20.
How long have you been roleplaying? A little over 7 years.
.The Facade.
Character Name: Eirawyn
Name Meaning: "Eira" means "healing, mercy", "wyn" means "friend".
Age: Three and Twenty.
Date of Birth: May 7, 2986 TA.
Race: Man.
Residence: Edoras.
Profession: Eirawyn is a healer. Everything from wounded soldiers to the sickly.
Appearance: Eirawyn has a gentle face. It is, in fact, quite the blessing to her. For in her line of work it is necessary to quickly gain the trust of those you care for; and her features certainly portray her as gentle and soft. While her eyes are blue and could easily come across as cold or icy, they are generally filled with warmth; unless by the off chance she is distressed or angered. However, if you are a charge of hers, it will be near impossible to see that icy side of her.
She stands at five-foot-seven, a rather average height for the women of Rohan. In fact, she is rather average all around. She has the blonde hair of the Riddermark, as well as a an average build for her people. This means she has solid muscles and could easily work hard labor if she needed to.
Personality: Eirawyn is a proud woman, and dutiful. She will not, under any circumstances, ask for assistance, nor will she let others see her weep and tear; for such is the weakness of a woman. She tends to concentrate on their strengths. She is calm, level headed and skilled when it comes to healing, though not nearly as so when she is not on duty.
In fact, it often seems that she is two entirely different people. The young woman is quite loquacious, and friendly, and given the proper circumstances, quite excitable. She is not one for the indoors, but thrives in the sun. Like all the people of Rohan, she is extremely fond of horses, and riding as well as sword wielding; and will make a point to go riding or spar as often as she can. It is, perhaps, her expounded energy that lets her stay calm when working.
Eirawyn is quite loyal and trustworthy. However, if you happen to not fall on her fairer side, she is quite a stormy woman. She, unfortunately, is one to hold grudges; and if you have fallen out of her favor by some act on your part (or indeed, hers--but she is too proud to admit wrong) it will be quite a chore to get her graces back. Nonetheless, if you win her affection, it will be strong.

History: Eirawyn was the third child of Geirulf and Orwine, and happily received by all members of the family. It did not take long for the little blonde-haired, blue-eyed child to work her way into the family at all, and as soon as she was able to walk would follow her older brothers absolutely everywhere and anywhere. It seemed to both parents that they had three sons rather than two and a daughter. Still, Eirawyn was closest with her brother Geirdor, for their ages were closer and he was easier to keep up with.
Angeir was not one to slow down for his little sister to keep up, and in fact, thought them both a nuisance. He was, after all, older than them and spent his time trying to make sure both knew it. And this did sadden both children a bit, but they took care to keep with one another quite well and were positively inseparable. While her father was training, and her mother was out healing, Eirawyn and Geirdor ran about Edoras finding all sorts of mischief to get into, such as sneaking out of the city walls and playing in the fields, and borrowing their father's spare sword to go play-fight with storing crates.
When Eirawyn was eight years old and her Geirdor ten, he decided it would be well to sneak into the stables. The girl agreed quickly, for she loved the creatures. Their father worked with them everyday, and neither of them understood why the gentle creatures were dangerous, as their father had told them many times. They had been left in the charge of their twelve year old brother, who was happy to be rid of them when they snuck away. Geirdor had been learning to ride, and he wanted to show his sister which horse he had been taking the lessons on. Eirawyn had been jealous that her brother had gotten riding lessons before her, though her father had promised her she would learn as well after. He simply did not have the time to spare to teach them both at the same time.
They got to the stables, and most of the stable hands had been extra busy. They were short staffed, and all of the horses were restless sensing the storm that would be their later that evening. So, it had not been a problem for Geirdor to sneak into the stall of the stallion he had been riding. Eirawyn had stood outside of the manger, for neither child wished to spook the horse.
She turned her eyes away for one moment; and to this day, Eirawyn does not know precisely how it happened. What matters, though, is that it did. Somehow the horse startled nd began to rear and kick it's forelegs, and for all of the little girl's cries for her brother to get out of the stall, it did not help. The stablehands had heard her cries, and had come to help. However, by the time they had arrived, Geirdor had already received a fatal blow to his temple, trying to scramble out of the horse's way.
Geirdor's death, needless to say, shattered the family. Orwine was torn apart by grief, and Angeir felt entirely guilty for having been so negligent. But the biggest difference was in Geirulf, who seemed to fall into silence more than speak, and threw himself completely into his work. It was then that Eirawyn took to healing with her mother. She wished to study medicine so that she could, perhaps, save someone else where she could not save her dear brother.
Angeir began to change as well; his guilt driving him to strive for a better relationship with his sister. Soon, he began to let her hang around him, feeling sorry that she had nobody to shadow anymore. He also began to care for her as a father would, and has since then tried making life decisions for her.
When her father retired at forty five, he turned to ale as an escape; no longer able to hide his grief in work, he needed another outlet. He is, now, left alone most of the time in the house---for all others who live under their roof still work, and must spend time doing performing various tasks. Still, even when family is around, he does not speak an awful lot.
